6 Months On...

Once the shop is a more established and popular business, it could develop a couple of things.
Firstly, the website could be developed further allowing an online shop and workshop booking form:

The shop could also create some more signage indoors:

And could create a coffe table style book showcasing the many ites made by staff and customers. This could be on display in the shop and could also be for sale:

Promotional Merchandise

I have created some mock ups of what posssible promotional merchandise could look like:

Promotional Material

I bought a personalised stamp with my logo and website to easily transfer onto various surfaces for my business cards, letterheads and packaging etc.

I think the logo has translated well in ink. It is legible but unique to the business.

I also tried it on the packaging I made previously. It looks good but the stamp needs a flat surface to transfer properly so I will keep that in mind next time.

I also used different pieces of card and paper to see how they would work as a kind of business card. I tried different shapes with both ripped and straight edges. These would work well for people who are curious about the shop and want to know more as it has the website address and reflects the brand as it is made out of recycled materials.

I then tried the stamp on pieces of material as I thought that would be a unique way to promote the business. Some of these worked and some didnt transfer too well. It may also imply that the business is a material craft shop rather than a jewellery craft shop, however I still like these samples.

I have created a mock up of how the letterheads could look both with the black ink stamp and the full colour logo.

This is also a mock up of how the paper carrier bags for the shop would look. They would be made from paper as this is a recyclable material.

Website

The website has been kept simple and modern so that it is appealing to a wide range of people and ages. It offers all the information about what the shop is, where it is located and how to contact them.

Signage

For the shop front, the sign can be made out of adhesive vinyl that can be easily stuck on to the windows or above the door. This is fairly cheap to get made but still looks professional.

Posters

I used the cut up magazines and newspapers to create some collages that could be used as backgrounds for posters. I tried different techniques and looks to see which worke better.

In the above two I used mostly text and little colour. I liked how these turned out but thought they might be distracting when other text is placed on top.

In these two I used mostly imagery. These turned out more interesting looking and so I developed these further in Photoshop to figure out my poster layout.

I faded the background slightly so that it wasn't too overpowering and placed the logo on top. I liked how they look quite mysterious with limited info on the actual poster making people curious and making the name memorable.

These are my final posters, I have included a QR scan code to keep the mysterious feeling but also to link people to the website when scanned so they can get more information. I have also included the adress and site at the bottom for people who do not have smartphones.

Experimentation

I have started experimenting with collage techniques. In this image I have used transparent tape to pull out text from a magazine.

I have also began collecting images and text from magazines that I could possibly use for posters or packaging.
